Good stuff! I think it is the first time that I get to read elsewhere what I think are two of the most important and critical components from any given deployed KM system: the individual and the community.
I talk about this concept in my class, spanning from the individual to the corporation. Luis goes on to juxtapose the idea that business-focused KM is focused on collecting and delivering the information to its people, while social software is about engaging people. If they are passionate about a topic, and they have permission to expose that passion, watch out!
At the same time as there is drive from the people and teams who are expected to use the system, there has to be support for the corporate needs.
